youtube-mcp: Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 3, 2026

youtube-mcp is a private tool that Jad Mosly runs on his own computer to read statistics for his YouTube channel, BOLDJELLY, and public data about other channels. It isn't offered to the public.

What it accesses. With the account owner's permission, it uses two read-only Google permissions: youtube.readonly and yt-analytics.readonly. These let it read channel details, video lists and analytics such as views and watch time. It can't upload, edit or delete anything.

Where data goes. The sign-in token is stored only on the owner's computer. Results are shown in the owner's Claude sessions, so they are processed by Anthropic, and the owner may keep figures in his private notes. The tool doesn't sell data, doesn't use it for advertising and doesn't collect data from anyone else.

Google and YouTube. This tool uses YouTube API Services. See the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Removing access. Access can be revoked at any time at Google Account permissions. Deleting the local token file removes the stored sign-in.
